Palace Dracula
Palace Bran (Bran Castle) or Dracula Palace, located in a hilly region of Brasov, central Romania, was built in the 14th century and became a theater of photography for the film's famous vampire (Dracula).
Dracula character invented by Irish novelist Bram Stoker in his novel Dracula in 1897, later became a Hollywood figure was the heroine in many films quoted.
It was not the author had visited Romania and the palace but the details of his story matched with the palace, which has become the most important tourist destinations in the world and attracts more than half a million tourists annually.
Palace is located in the region of Bran in Brasov County, just 30 km south of Brasov city.
History of the castle
* The palace was built by Alsahien in 1211 and ended in 1377 has been approved by King Ludovic first king of Hungary on the recognition of the castle by a decree issued by him in the November 19, 1377 and was used as a fortress and military important as a trading station.
* In the late thirteenth century castle ownership is transferred to the Kingdom of Romania.
* In 1407 moved the ownership of the castle to the old Marcha.
* In 1427 moved to the castle of the Holy Royal Hungarian ownership in Brasov.
* In 1920 the City Council of Brasov donated the castle to Queen Maria of Romania will mark as gift unification of the country in 1918.
* 1948 income under the protection of the Romanian state after being abandoned and vandalized. And open to the public in 1956.
* In 1987, was restored by the state and the finished work of restoration in 1993.
* In 2009 the palace was opened officially to the public after a judicial conflicts between Aljkumh and the heirs of Queen Maria, who are demanding the castle as a legacy of their ancestors.
